Last modified 26 Oct 2021 23:50 +02:00
This functionality is obsolete. It is no longer supported or maintained. Please use the replacement functionality instead.

MidPoint plugin for Eclipse for abandoned in favor of MidPoint Studio, which is based on open source IntelliJ platform.

Although the Eclipse plugin was an efficient tool used broadly by the community, maintaining the plugin in Eclipse environment proved to be a challenge. Most of the midPoint developers migrated to IntelliJ platform, and the popularity of the platform was also indicated by our survey. Therefore we have decided to abandon the old and de facto derelict Eclipse plugin. There no plans to maintain the Eclipse plugin any further. You can go ahead and use it if it works for you, but there will be no further improvements, bug fixes or even security fixes.

Version: 0.10.8 (May 3rd, 2019)

Issue Description Notes

Added support for 4.0 object types: objectCollection , archetype , dashboard, assignmentHolder . Also added support for case object type (introduced into midPoint earlier).

Support for assignmentHolder is very limited. The plugin does not recognize its place in the object hierarchy; it might lead to some inconveniences. Dashboard support requires v4.0devel-1060-gfa96a3d or later because of a midPoint bug.

Added support for subtypes and archetypes.

When browsing objects, the "subtype" column now contains concatenation of object subtype information: archetype names, subtype values, employeeType/roleType/orgType/serviceType values, resourceRef+kind+intent information (for shadows), category (for tasks). Archetype names require v4.0devel-1060-gfa96a3d or later.

Changed double-click behavior on servers list from "edit server" to "select server", as the latter is much more natural and more frequently used.
